1) How do you become a guide?
To be a guide you need to know a lot about the game. You Need to be able to answer just about any question that comes to you. You must know the rules of the game and be able to help enforce them. You must be at a higher level so that you become engaged because many questions are concerning this aspect of the game. You must also be of a certain age. A child playing the game can't be a guide. If you think you can do the job you send in a ticket through feedback and ask them, but just because you want it doesn't mean you'll get it. It depends on a lot of other things. How many guides there already are. How good and active the current guides are. Does the admins think that the game needs another guide. And can you prove you know enough & have the experience.
2) What do you get?
Guides get nothing more than the satisfaction from passing on knowledge to the new players. We get no payment for doing this. There are no rewards other than knowing we've helped someone. And since the changes in June of 2017, there are also no perks. We have a character limit just like everyone else and sometimes it will take us more than one message to answer a single simple question.
3) Is it hard?
There are some days when we will get 20 of the stupidest questions ever, and then there are days when a player has been bullied and needs serious help. Sometimes there are only 10 messages when I wake up and sometimes there are 20 messages waiting for me to wake up. There are days when it takes a ton of patience to be a guide. There are people in this game who cuss us for no good reason. Call us names, be mean, and rude.
4) Why do we want to be guides?
Most of us are guides because we felt like we had valuable knowledge that would help a lot of other players. Some guides may have other reasons but as for me, I had already been coaching players and teaching them for many months so being an official guide just made sense. I was already doing the work so I wanted the title of it too. Not all guides know everything there is to know about the game. Some guides are quite new to the game and can't answer all of the questions that they get. Some guides will give you the shortest answer possible which will leave you needing even more answers. If you get a guide that doesn't explain something well or in a way you can understand it, go to another guide. As there is with everything in your life, some guides will be better and smarter than others. Some guides are very sweet and some guides borderline on being mean. We all have different methods of explaining things and some of us have websites that are very helpful to players too. Always look to see if a particular guide has a website for helping all players. (I have two of them)
5) Can guides do what admins does?
Guides have no connection to the admins at all. Although sometimes guides do become moderators of the feedback system. Most guides are simply players in the game that are very smart and know more about the game than the typical players do. We have a lot of experience and we're willing to teach other players how to get better at the game. Guides can't give you anything. Guides do not have time to chit chat, and we can't be a BFF to everyone who asks. Guides can't fix credit card problems, payment problems, problems with glitches in the game, or make people leave you alone. Guides don't have the power the admins does. Guides can't give out punishments or muting, or bans. Guides can't lift the punishments either. Guides can't close accounts, or make changes to accounts. Guides also don't have any access to any information that the admins has. Never give your personal information to a guide or any other person playing in the game. If you do, don't expect a guide or the admins to get your account back for you. Guides also can't do anything about a chat room that has problems inside of it. Even if it is her room, there are so many limitations that a room can easily become unruly and troublesome.
6) What a guide can do.
All guides can report you for cussing, bullying, or putting dirty pictures into comments. Guides can report any disgusting player names, and we can report you for breaking the game rules. Not all guides will report you for asking for votes or declaring them but I will. But I will also tell you that you shouldn't do it ever. Not all guides will report you for asking for money or for asking for diamonds, But I will report you for doing this too. There are days when I'm too busy to explain the rules you should already know, so I will simply report you. Guides can be extremely helpful when you are new but we get extremely annoyed when you ask us question after question after question in different messages. Send them all in a single message. Number them if you have more than a few. And never ever ask a guide "can I ask you a question?" This is beyond annoying and we hate this question.
