Game Strategy

Strategy is what separates the winners from the mediocre. Whether you are playing in the arena, choosing a club to steal a trophy from, or trying to have more wins in the Beauty Pageant, you absolutely will always need a strategy.

Below are some tips for recognizing and developing your own strategy in different areas of the game.

ARENA - This is where you earn emeralds and experience. Ask any of the high-ranking, experienced players or guides and they will tell you that skills are most important, not the levels. Experience stars will cause you to level up and sometimes this can be detrimental to your overall success in the game.

Yes! Winning duels in the arena gives you emeralds and emeralds are needed for almost everything however, if you are losing more than 1-2 out of 10 duels, it means you are already weak. This is when you need to apply some strategy. Do you care that you are weak and losing most duels? If you care, stop it. Just because you get 10 duels every hour it does not mean you must always use them all. You have to decide what is more important, exp and emeralds, or your skills. Now there is an up side to losing duels. You get emerald chips instead of full emeralds and these do not come with the exp. That is a good thing. Although losing is never fun remember that its not hurting your skills. An example is this: a level 10 with skills in the 100's is stronger than a level 20 with skills in 100's.

BEAUTY PAGEANT - To compete or to not compete, that is a very good question. But, for me, there is only 1 right answer, and that is to try. If you compete and consistently lose, it is hurtful, discouraging, and makes for a very bad day. However, losing after trying is better than being a committed loser. Not trying is making you a loser anyway, so why aren't you at least trying? Both of these are strategies in their own right.

Not trying-you are instantly a loser. You lose out on possible income, you lose out on possible keys in the dailies, you lose out on discovering your potential for winning, you lose out on discovering new looks, and new ways to apply your wardrobe. Losing this income does the most damage to your game because you will level up faster than if you have the income to apply to your skills. But think about this. By not even trying, it makes this competition even more difficult for everyone else who is - at least - trying to compete. When too many players sit-out this competition, those who are in it have to wait longer for an opponent and players to judge.

Now, lets face it. Cheaters are everywhere!! In this game, the BP is the most cheated competition. Clubs play together, and choose each other. Haters and jealous players will choose the worst, out of theme player to win. And when you are a new player, you simply have every odd against you. You don't have the fancy background props, and sometimes not the event items required for a win.        This is where you need even more strategy. Go to the mall. If the theme is a color, YOU HAVE NO EXCUSE TO NOT EVEN TRY. Every color is sold in the mall. If you can't commit to a particular theme, at least compete when the theme is a freaking color.

STOP MAKING EXCUSES  & MAKING YOURSELF A LOSER!!!!

You must at least try.

Now, say you try, you do 3 tries, no wins. Change your hair. You do 3 more tries, you get 1 win. You change part of your outfit. You try 3 more times, you get 2 wins. You've beat the odds. Do 3 more. If you start losing again, change something, or add something new. Always try. And save all outfits that win in the BP. Always remember, everyone loses sometime.

Pay attention to what IS winning. Is it a theme from an event? Or is it a theme from a special Collection? Are you in the correct color? All Beige, means ALL BEIGE, not brown, not beige and black & not gold. If you can't win with your look, copy someone that did win against you.

Always use accessories. You absolutely must use jewelry. And sometimes, changing jewelry, make-up, a hair color or style will get you wins.

And, honestly. When I see a player who doesn't even try, makes me think they think very little of themselves. Not trying is a losing attitude.

SKILLS - These are most important. Popularity Skills, not your level, determine your strength as a player in this game, unlike most other games. It takes a lot of strategy and "trade-offs" to become strong in this game since the 2020 changes but it can still be done. Presidents of clubs look at skills for their members. Skills are most important in clubs to win trophies in the club fights. As I have said before a level 10 with skills in the 100's is stronger than a level 20 with skills in 100's. If you choose to win in the arena to collect many emeralds, you will, without a doubt, level up faster than you can increase your skills. You need to earn more income than you earn emeralds. You need to compete in the BP, and collect all income, as often as possible, from your apt.

Check into the game daily. Every day you miss is income lost, and skills are diminished because you lost income. If you can't be online to play, at least apply strategy to your busy life so your game does not suffer for the business of it.

At the very least, check into your club, join a fight, do a fashion show, do the daily spin & a few tasks, collect income from apt. Train a pet, increase a skill. And then, if you have enough time, you can do more.

This is not a game you can skip or neglect. Its a social game and other people are depending on you so, if you are in a club, your participation is important. Your skills are needed in the fights. Your donations are needed in the club even if you are not obligated to give them. If you can't be active then you need to change your game strategy to that of a lone player. You don't join a club, you work on everything alone, you play at your pace which can be ambitious or as slow and leisurely as you need it to be. But, if your life strategy doesn't allow you the time necessary for a club to rely on you, leave the club. Do not cause the club problems because you can't manage your time adequately to accommodate the game.

Players with low skills for their level is usually the players who do not check into the game daily. The income they do get, they often give to their club. This is generous but, not the answer, or a solution to a problem of time management and strategy. While the club does need the income for the club skills, the personal individual skills of a player is most important.

(Personally, I work a full time job. I have health issues so sometimes I get an extra day off, which can be of help. I have dogs and plants and laundry and family and housework and yet, I manage to run a club, manage 2 websites, and still never miss a day unless I'm in a pissy mood and find that everyone is better off without my bad mood. This is when I get caught up on the housework, lol)

Some call it time management but all it truly is - is strategy.

Everything is about strategy. Games, activities within a game. Life. Work.
